Job Description

We are currently seeking an accounts apprentice to join and support the accounts division of the organisation.

Main Duties & Responsibilities

  • Perform the day to day processing of accounts payable transactions to ensure that municipal finances are maintained in an effective, up to date and accurate manner
  • To be dealing with Accounts Payables & Accounts Receivables, Reconcilliation & Reporting.
  • Booking in good inwards & updating stock records, filling delivery & dispatch notes and accurate record keeping of goods inwards / outwards. Checking records are correct when invoices are received and raised
  • Monitoring product listings of retail customers and working with other members of the team to ensure all deliveries are up to date.
  • Keeping stock lists & liaising with the production team maintaining minimum stock levels, notifying directors of any requirements or areas of concern.
  • To be able to deal with after sales & to be willing to learn and adapt into new roles and to be willing to work extra to meet expectation

Working Week

Monday – Friday 9:00am – 5:00pm

Throughout the duration of your Apprenticeship you will be required to attend the 3aaa Accountancy Academy in Birmingham on a day release basis, the remainder of your training will be completed in the workplace.

You will work to achieve the highly recognised AAT (Association of Accounting Technicians) qualification and receive MAAT (Member of Association of Accounting Technicians) status.

You will be learning about all aspects of Accounting and learning new skills related to how businesses work. On the Apprenticeship there will be a good mixture of hands-on practical work and written work.
