Job Description

This is a great opportunity to join a well-established company as an accounts apprentice and gain valuable experience within the accounting field.

The role will be to assist the business with day to day duties ensuring that data, paperwork and filing is kept to high standards whilst delivering a quality service to clients and their questions.


  • Assisting and posting invoices
  • Reconciling bank statements
  • Entering of data via the appropriate software
  • Liaising with colleagues to support where required
  • Supporting the payroll department
  • Entering data, using sage 50
  • Preparation of accounts
  • Assisting with invoices- matching, batching and coding
  • General book keeping
  • Preparation and computation of VAT returns
  • Handling documents and filing of paperwork
  • Answering the phone and responding to emails

Working Week

Throughout the duration of your Apprenticeship you will be required to attend the 3aaa Accountancy Academy in Birmingham on a day release basis, the remainder of your training will be completed in the workplace.

You will work to achieve the highly recognised AAT (Association of Accounting Technicians) qualification and receive MAAT (Member of Association of Accounting Technicians) status.

• You will be learning about all aspects of Accounting and learning new skills related to how businesses work. On the Apprenticeship there will be a good mixture of hands-on practical work and written work.
