Job Description

To assist the Financial Controller in the production of all financial information as requested by the directors to support the smooth running of the business. Specific duties include

Sales Ledger / Credit Control

 Processing sales invoices from all offices on a daily basis

 Production of credit checks as requested by Project Managers  Reconciliation and posting of all receipts including paying cheques into bank

 Making calls to purchase ledger depts to ensure timely payment of invoices

 Dealing with sales invoice queries

 Production and despatch of electronic statements and reminders where appropriate

 Debtor analysis and reporting to FC / Directors

 Maintaining customer credit / on hold statuses

Month end

 Bank account reconciliation

 Card transaction posting and reconciliation

 Preparing data for external accountants

 Assisting the FC in profit & loss reporting: journal entries and nominal account reconciliation


 Ensuring the filing of electronic / hard copy documents is done in a timely and accurate manner

 Preparation of employee expense payments and notification of same

 Any other duties as requested by the Financial Controller / Directors

Working Week

Monday – Friday 9:00am – 5:00pm 37.5 HOURS PER WEEK


Requirements & Prospects


Ideally a minimum 4 GCSE’s C and above Including Maths, English and ICT (or equivalents)

Desired Skills

Microsoft Office to a good level, including Excel and Outlook

• Supervisory experience is preferable
