Job Description

Interested in a career as an ICT Technician? If you are a team player who wants to repair, maintain and upgrade computers in a customer facing environment then you could be the ideal apprentice for Crocodile Computers.

Successful candidates will gain exposure to a wide range of technology and platforms during their time with us, so be prepared to undertake intense and proactive learning.


Expected roles and support includes;

Serving customers within the Office or via the phone.

Desktop Hardware Support

Upgrading PC’s, laptops etc

Preparation of Client Invoices, bank reconciliation

Application troubleshooting

Working with Windows 7, 8, 10 Apple OS X

Basic telephony support

Remote assistance

Web site maintenance & design

Assist with installing new and upgraded ICT systems

Advising & Demonstrating customers on new technology available.

Working Week

Monday – Friday 9:00am – 5:00pm 37.5 hrs pw


Requirements & Prospects


Ideally a minimum 4 GCSE’s C and above Including Maths, English and ICT (or equivalents)

Throughout the duration of your Apprenticeship you will be required to attend the 3aaa Technology Academy in Newcastle for up to 12 weeks on a block release basis for structured training. The remainder of your training will be completed in the workplace with your Employer. You will work towards a Level 3 Advanced Apprenticeship for IT, Software, Web and Telecoms Professionals. The qualifications consist of:
• Edexcel Advanced Apprenticeship in IT, Software, Web and Telecoms
• L3 Diploma in ICT Professional Competence
• L3 Extended Diploma in ICT Systems and Principles
• Level 2 Functional Skills English, Maths, ICT (if applicable)
