Job Description

The successful candidate will take pride and ownership ensuring that all administration duties and the day to day office requirements are maintained, providing admin support within IT, working impartially and confidentially as and when required.
  • Focus on financial and data control, service provision, coordinating contracts, and project administration.
  • Work closely with IT stakeholders, to understand daily and project objectives, expected standards and milestones.
  • Provide support in various administrative duties in order to progress assignments through to completion including liaising with senior management, issuing documents and hardware whilst capturing detail and maintaining various spreadsheet the databases and portals and reporting accordingly.

Financial and Service Control Responsibilities

  • Obtaining quotes & tenders, negotiating through to order placement
  • Logging and validate invoices against contracts and orders – Identifying errors and managing corrections
  • Accurate control of data, collating information, capturing key details utilizing databases, spreadsheets and portals
  • Tracking and reporting on IT costs including allocating costs to departmental P & L
  • Maintain service contractual detail, migrate contracts and continuously look to reduce costs
  • Analyse data from a variety of sources to monitor, and compile reports
  • Coordinate group mobiles contract, hardware and service allocation (1000+ mobile users)
  • Processing IT requests and updating tickets
  • Support in all infrastructure provisions
  • Take control on matters relating to loss of services and escalate efficiently
  • Arrange and coordinate supplier / engineer visits relating to services
  • Liaise closely with various suppliers, departments and Senior Management
  • Arranging travel and accommodation
  • Diary management
  • General office duties

Working Week

40 hours per week between 8:30am and 5:30pm Monday to Friday


Requirements & Prospects


Ideally a minimum 4 GCSE’s C and above Including Maths, English and ICT (or equivalents)

Throughout the duration of your Apprenticeship you will be required to attend the 3aaa Technology Academy in Liverpool for up to 12 weeks on a block release basis for structured training. The remainder of your training will be completed in the workplace with your Employer. You will work towards a Level 3 Advanced Apprenticeship for IT, Software, Web and Telecoms Professionals. The qualifications consist of:
• Edexcel Advanced Apprenticeship in IT, Software, Web and Telecoms
• L3 Diploma in ICT Professional Competence
• L3 Extended Diploma in ICT Systems and Principles
• Level 2 Functional Skills English, Maths, ICT (if applicable)
