Job Description

This is a great opportunity for an individual to join a company who like to support apprentices through their journey and help them grow into IT wizards, the role will be to handle calls on a IT service helpdesk. You will study towards your IT Level 3 qualification and be fully supported by the employer and 3aaa’s Training Academies
  • Knowledge of Microsoft Server and Desktop Operating Systems, including Networking will be advantageous.
  • Provide exceptional first line support across a multitude of hardware / software devices to internal staff
  • Install and configure computer systems
  • Diagnose and solve hardware/software faults
  • Log customer/employee queries
  • Accurately diagnose an issue based on the information you have been given
  • Resolve an issue efficiently and accurately and record information
  • Maintain good communication with your clients and manager at all times
  • Complete Windows Installation & Reinstallation
  • Software License Sales & Installation
  • Routine Maintenance and Optimisation
  • Data Recovery & Shredding
  • Virus/Spyware Removal

Working Week

Monday – Sunday 5 days out of 7 40 hours per week

Qualifications

Ideally a minimum 4 GCSE’s C and above Including Maths, English and ICT (or equivalents)

Training

Throughout the duration of your Apprenticeship you will be required to attend the 3aaa Technology Academy in Blackburn for up to 12 weeks on a block release basis for structured training. The remainder of your training will be completed in the workplace with your Employer. You will work towards a Level 3 Advanced Apprenticeship for IT, Software, Web and Telecoms Professionals. The qualifications consist of:
• Edexcel Advanced Apprenticeship in IT, Software, Web and Telecoms
• L3 Diploma in ICT Professional Competence
• L3 Extended Diploma in ICT Systems and Principles
• Level 2 Functional Skills English, Maths, ICT (if applicable)
