Job Description

This vacancy offers the right candidate a great opportunity to start an exciting career in IT.You will be required to provide first line technical support and advice to students and teaching staff.
  • To provide first line technical support and advice to students and teaching staff.
  • To log all fault calls on the ICT Helpdesk and escalate faults to second and third line engineers as required.
  • To assist in the efficient day-to-day running of the ICT
  • To support all staff and students in the use of ICT equipment, including classroom support
  • To perform routine maintenance tasks
  • To manage small projects as designated by the Network Manager
  • To support the school’s VLE, Internet, Email and MIS systems
  • To provide technical support for school events
  • To support in-house training as and when required.
  • To attend meetings as and when required.
  • Be aware of and comply with the policies and procedures relating to child protection, equality and diversity, health, safety and security, confidentiality and data protection, reporting all concerns to an appropriate person.

Working Week

Monday – Friday 9:00am – 5:00pm

Throughout the duration of your Apprenticeship you will be required to attend the 3aaa Technology Academy in Maidstone for up to 12 weeks on a block release basis for structured training. The remainder of your training will be completed in the workplace with your Employer. You will work towards a Level 3 Advanced Apprenticeship for IT, Software, Web and Telecoms Professionals. The qualifications consist of:
• Edexcel Advanced Apprenticeship in IT, Software, Web and Telecoms
• L3 Diploma in ICT Professional Competence
• L3 Extended Diploma in ICT Systems and Principles
• Level 2 Functional Skills English, Maths & ICT (if applicable)
