Job Description

As an IT Apprentice, your main duties will be:

·         To perform to a high standard all repairs and finding/fixing faults

·         Carry out a ticketing system

·         To monitor Primary contact clients and communicate on a regular basis

·         To provide telephone support and keeping within allocated time limits

·         Downloading new software

·         To perform on-site visits to end users

·         To set priorities for all tasks to create a daily job list

·         To answer all incoming phone calls


Working Week

Monday – Friday 9:00am – 5:00pm


Requirements & Prospects


Ideally a minimum 4 GCSE’s C and above Including Maths, English and ICT (or equivalents)

Future Prospects

After the Apprentice has completed their programme of study, they will be given the opportunity to continue as a full-time member of staff if there is a vacancy in the same company. There may be an opportunity to continue onto a Higher Apprenticeship (Level 4).

Throughout the duration of your Apprenticeship you will be required to attend the 3aaa Technology Academy in Middlesbrough for up to 12 weeks on a block release basis for structured training. The remainder of your training will be completed in the workplace with your Employer. You will work towards a Level 3 Advanced Apprenticeship for IT, Software, Web and Telecoms Professionals. The qualifications consist of:
• Edexcel Advanced Apprenticeship in IT, Software, Web and Telecoms
• L3 Diploma in ICT Professional Competence
• L3 Extended Diploma in ICT Systems and Principles
• Level 2 Functional Skills English, Maths, ICT (if applicable)
