This role will involve working 4 days a week at different schools in Crewe, Middlewhich and Abbey Hulton and 1 day in the office. With Training duties will include:
• Providing technical support
• Setting up new work stations
• Carrying out admin duties on servers to include setting up users, monitoring logs and controlling access
• Networking- Monitoring infrastructure
• Fault Finding
• Setting up and maintaining White Boards, Projectors and replacing bulbs
• Applying updates
• Installing software
• Running daily reports

Working Week

Monday – Friday 9:00am – 4:30pm 37.5 Hours per week

Qualifications

A minimum 5 GCSE’s C and above Including Maths, English and ICT (or equivalents)

Desired Skills

Works well in a team
Previous experience of fault finding on Computers useful and installing software
Computer literate – Microsoft Office packages
Customer service skills useful

A full-time position will be offered to the right person on completion of the qualification with the chance of progression onto a Level 4

Training

Throughout the duration of your Apprenticeship (typically 15 months) you will be required to attend the 3aaa Technology Academy in Stoke-on-Trent for 30 days of training across five months featuring structured training. The remainder of your training will be completed in the workplace with your Employer. You will work towards a Level 3 Apprenticeship standard – Infrastructure Technician. The qualifications consist of:
• Level 2 Functional Skills English and Maths (if applicable)
• Knowledge Module 1 - Networking and Architecture
• Knowledge Module 2 - Mobile and Operating Systems
• Knowledge Module 3 - Cloud Services
• Knowledge Module 4 - Coding and Logic
• Knowledge Module 5 - Business Processes
• One vendor certification selected based on your job role and individual capabilities (Typically a Microsoft Technical Associate (MTA) certification)
Knowledge Modules are specified by the British Computer Society (BCS)
