Use a word processing package such as Microsoft Word
Audio and copy type
Write letters
Deal with telephone and email enquiries, using an email system (e.g. Outlook)
Photocopy and print various documents, sometimes on behalf of other colleagues
Organise and store paperwork, documents and computer-based information
Create and maintain filing and other office systems
Keep diaries and arrange appointments
Schedule and attend meetings, create agendas and take minutes – shorthand may be required
Book meeting room and conference facilities
Liaise with staff in other departments and with external contacts
Order and maintain stationery and equipment
Organise travel and accommodation for staff and other external contacts.

Working Week

Monday – Friday 9:00am – 5:00pm 35 Hours Per Week


Requirements & Prospects


Must hold 5 GCSEs (graded A* to C or 9 to 5) or equivalent including English/ Maths and have been a resident in the UK/EEA/EU for the last 3 years.

The Business Administrator apprenticeship programme is designed to help you become an excellent contributor towards operational efficiencies within a business. This will include interacting with both internal and external customers in a professional way, as well as applying skills learned throughout the programme within a business environment.
