Job Description

Excellent opportunity to join the administration department within a fine educational boarding school. You will receive excellent support and training, gaining all-round exposure to administration and business within an academic environment.

Duties to include:

  • Providing secretarial and administrative support to management and other staff.
  • Operation of the office, including the routine use of Microsoft Office applications such as Outlook, Word and excel in the preparation of letters and spreadsheets.
  • Taking dictation and minutes.
  • Forward voice messages from MD to appropriate members of staff.
  • Screening and answering phone calls, enquiries and requests and handling them when appropriate.
  • Devising and maintaining office systems.
  • Purchasing, receiving and storing of the office supplies – ensuring that basic supplies are always available.
  • Coding and filing material according to the established procedures.
  • Updating and ensuring the accuracy of the organisations databases.
  • Backing-up of electronic files using proper procedures.
  • Making meetings, travel and other arrangements for staff if required.

Working Week

Monday – Friday 9:00am – 5:00pm
