Job Description

Fantastic opportunity to work in a busy admin department fronting the reception desk but also acquiring business admin skills in a professional and friendly environment.

Reception

              In a courteous and friendly manner:

  • Receive visitors to the College
  • Deal with incoming telephone calls, transferring these to the correct extension, taking messages and passing them on efficiently
  • Deal with enquiries from staff, students and visitors to the College
  • Mail handling and distribution:  sort incoming post, arrange distribution, prepare and frank outgoing post
  • Process deliveries to the College and ensure the intended recipient is advised of the safe receipt of the goods

 

General

  • Provide efficient and accurate administrative and clerical support to staff
  • Produce resources required by the College
  • Maintain records as required
  • Provide administrative support to the finance department as required
  • Undertake any other duties of an appropriate level and nature as directed by line manager or Principal.
  • Report any welfare and / or Child Protection concerns in accordance with College policies.
  • Comply with policies and procedures relating to Child Protection, health, safety, security and confidentiality, reporting all concerns to an appropriate person.
  • Ensure compliance with Data Protection regulations.

Working Week

Monday – Friday 9:00am – 3:30pm 30 hours per week

Qualifications

Ideally a minimum 4 GCSE’s C and above Including Maths, English and ICT (or equivalents)
