Job Description

Are you a Business Brain? We are looking for an organised and efficient apprentice to become an integral part of their business. As an apprentice, you will learn every aspect of the company, build on your existing IT skills and become a valued team member!

Primary Responsibilities

To provide support to both the small works and remedial departments thereby improving the overall efficiency of the teams.

Main tasks of the job:

  • Dealing with all computer systems within the department, including EPMS, Cash, Asite and the job server
  • Ensure all quotes and order acknowledgments received from suppliers are saved onto the server/Cash
  • Issue enquiries and collate prices for plant, prefab and large materials
  • Implement the standard ordering system
  • Maintain and issue contracts programme on a weekly basis
  • Collate O&M Manuals efficiently adding information in accordance with the progress of the project
  • Maintain a departmental diary for the department using the Outlook system and email weekly locations to Luke Cox
  • Set up new jobs on Sage
  • Uploading QA documents and ‘A’ Site in a timely manner
  • Scan and save site daily diaries into the job folder
  • Filing of project documents for your team
  • Scanning paperwork and job files
  • Holiday/sickness cover for other team members
  • To create and issue project specific family tree’s
  • Create project specific Health & Safety files
  • Any other duties as requested by PA/Head of Contracts Administration or Small Works & Remedials Manager

Working Week

Monday – Friday 9:00am – 5:00pm 37.5hrs pw


Requirements & Prospects


Ideally a minimum 4 GCSE’s C and above Including Maths, English and ICT (or equivalents)

• Good organisational skills including the ability to work within tight deadlines
• Ability to work flexibly and as part of a team, and to use own initiative
• Good verbal communication skills, including a pleasant and friendly telephone manner
• Experience in using word processing, emailing and internet facilities and willingness and aptitude to learn new technology applications
