Job Description

Great opportunity working for a small aircraft design and maintenance company based in Stansted Airport. We are looking for a talented programmer to develop database front-ends and applications for various processes within our organisation.

KNSI Aviation Engineering is small company based in the Diamond Hangar at Stansted Airport, designing repairs and modifications for customers all over the World. KNSI is one of the fastest growing Design Organisations in the UK carrying out work on Airlines like AirAsia, GulfAir, Jet2, RoyalBrunei and many more around the World.

As the company grows, KNSI is looking to build custom tools and solutions to help our engineers manage processes and projects.

You will start small with the design and implementation of a system to manage our inventory/stores and move onto systems for project & team management. A successful candidate will be expected to create applications, front-ends and web-portals using Open Source packages, Unix/Linux tools and frameworks such as Ruby on Rails.

Working Week

Monday – Friday 9:00am – 5:00pm


Requirements & Prospects


Ideally a minimum 4 GCSE’s C and above Including Maths, English and ICT (or equivalents)

Desired Skills

Ideally experience on Linux/Unix systems, OpenSource, Ruby on Rails

Adaptable, quick learner

Throughout the duration of your Apprenticeship you will be required to attend the 3aaa Technology Academy in for up to 12 weeks on a block release basis for structured training. The remainder of your training will be completed in the workplace with your Employer. You will work towards a Level 3 Advanced Apprenticeship for IT, Software, Web and Telecoms Professionals. The qualifications consist of:
• Edexcel Advanced Apprenticeship in IT, Software, Web and Telecoms
• L3 Diploma in ICT Professional Competence
• L3 Extended Diploma in ICT Systems and Principles
• Level 2 Functional Skills English, Maths, ICT (if applicable)
