This is a fantastic entry level opportunity for a dynamic, motivated and reliable individual to join a mulit-award winning production team as a Digital Marketing &Production Apprentice at Somersault. It’s a position that combines immediate hands on responsibility for a range of tasks in production projects with continuous development of production skills and experience.

It’s a varied role that will include activities across the video production workflow; from compiling and assisting with pre-production activities, documents and logistics, to helping and contributing on set, through to assisting the post production team in delivering the final content. It’s a role through which you’ll be exposed to all aspects of video production and, over time, can develop skills across a number of areas including Producing, Camera Operating and Editing.

After a period of training and development Production Assistants can expect to progress within the team to become an Assistant Producer, Assistant Editor, Camera Operator or Assistant Project Manager.

Qualifications

A minimum of 5 GCSE’s C and above Including Maths and English (or equivalents)

Future Prospects

There is the chance for the successful apprentice to progress on to a Level 4 upon completion of the Level 3 apprenticeship. There is also the possibility for the right person to gain a permanent position within the business.

Training

Combined with knowledge and skills gained in the workplace, the Level 3 Digital Marketer will provide an understanding into the fundamentals of marketing, digital business principles and the principles of coding. Training will be provided via outstanding classroom training, dedicated workplace mentorship and on-the job experience to build the necessary skills, knowledge and behaviours to begin your career as a Digital Marketer.

The apprenticeship includes:
• BCS Level 3 Diploma in Digital Marketing
o BCS Level 3 Certificate in Principles of Coding
o BCS Level 3 Certificate in Marketing Principles
• Google Analytics Individual Qualification

Training and Assessment
• Throughout the first 12 months you will be required to attend your local 3aaa academy in Cambridge for around 20 days (plus exam days).
• You will attend a four day synoptic assessment at the end of your course (approx. month 14)
• Your dedicated mentor will visit you in the workplace approximately every 8 weeks
• Online support for modules will be provided for you to complete outside of work

The remainder of your training will be completed in the workplace.
