We are currently looking to recruit a Digital Marketing and Social Media Apprentice to play a pivotal role in the sales and marketing team. The ideal candidate must have excellent written and communication skills with a sociable and outgoing personality which will be transferable via written text on social media and digital content, providing exce

• Oversee hotel social media accounts – Instagram / Facebook / Twitter
• Research social media trends, competitors and research local events within the city
• Schedule daily/weekly posts to enlighten audiences and promote offers – looking at different target markets and demographics for different promotions, events and competitions
• Work with each department to develop social media timelines coinciding with promotional offers and events so a 12 month calendar/schedule can be created for those marketing campaigns
• Working closely with Know Hospitality’s Sales Manager to develop strategies through online marketing that will drive more traffic to direct websites and sales/leads to the business.
• Email marketing and e-shots to our database of clients
• Monitor and develops reports on competitor activity within social media space
• Create registration pages for wedding shows/open evenings
• Be involved in the creation of a microsite for our weddings business
• Be involved in photoshoots and videos for the use of creative content on digital channels
• Taking the lead on analysing the user experience of online brochures and platforms and feeding back improvements to our outsourced PR/marketing agency
• Gather visitor data – weekly page updates
• Respond to all direct messages through social media and also some direct website enquiries
The successful candidate will also play a supporting role to the Reservations team and will assist with this side of the business at least one day a week.
Further duties will include;
• Answering calls
• Inputting new reservations (AC Tours, Hotel Beds, Hotels Tonight, Travel Zoo, Buy a Gift)
• Inputting Wowcher offers.

Working Week

Monday – Friday 9:00am – 5:00pm (other shift patterns also available)

Combined with knowledge and skills gained in the workplace, the Level 3 Digital Marketer will provide an understanding into the fundamentals of marketing, digital business principles and the principles of coding. Training will be provided via outstanding classroom training, dedicated workplace mentorship and on-the job experience to build the necessary skills, knowledge and behaviours to begin your career as a Digital Marketer.

The apprenticeship includes:
• BCS Level 3 Diploma in Digital Marketing
o BCS Level 3 Certificate in Principles of Coding
o BCS Level 3 Certificate in Marketing Principles
• Google Analytics Individual Qualification

Training and Assessment
• Throughout the first 12 months you will be required to attend your local 3aaa academy in Liverpool for around 20 days (plus exam days).
• You will attend a four day synoptic assessment at the end of your course (approx. month 14)
• Your dedicated mentor will visit you in the workplace approximately every 8 weeks
• Online support for modules will be provided for you to complete outside of work

The remainder of your training will be completed in the workplace.
