Job DescriptionThis is an excellent opportunity to work in the Systems Department of a leading logistics company implementing and supporting SAP ERP (Enterprise Resource Planning) Supply Chain solutions.
SAP is one of the world’s leading ERP (Enterprise Resource Planning) systems and is used globally by major companies to deliver end-to-end business processes. Unipart uses SAP to deliver many of its Supply Chain solutions and the apprentice will have the opportunity to work within teams that are collectively responsible for delivering projects and providing day-to-day support.
He/she will have the opportunity to work in key areas designing, developing, testing, documenting and implementing changes using industry standard change (e.g. ITIL) management processes. There will be opportunities to develop skills in areas such as business process analysis, solution design and document management.
The apprentice will also learn all aspects of providing day to day support to the implemented systems and user base within the Unipart businesses
Working WeekMonday – Friday 8:30am – 5:00pm
Requirements & Prospects
QualificationsIdeally a minimum 4 GCSE’s C and above Including Maths, English and ICT (or equivalents)
Desired SkillsWhile the apprenticeship is based in the Systems Team, the role requires strong literacy and communication skills. Also the candidates must be able to conduct themselves in a professional manner and be able to work effectively with end users and technical teams.
Personal QualitiesThe successful candidate will be enthusiastic, positive and presentable with good attention to detail and have the determination to see things through. Must be able to work as a member of a team on demanding projects.
Future ProspectsUpon completion of the apprenticeship there will be the opportunity for the right candidate to join one of the teams of Business Consultants in a more specialised role within the SAP team or to develop further within related areas such as Project or Change management.
• Edexcel Advanced Apprenticeship in IT, Software, Web and Telecoms
• L3 Diploma in ICT Professional Competence
• L3 Extended Diploma in ICT Systems and Principles
• Level 2 Functional Skills English, Maths and ICT (if applicable)
