Job Description

British Board of Agrement would like to offer an outstanding opportunity for an aspiring young person who is looking for a role within finance. Duties include:

  • Maintain the Purchase Invoice register, monitor and authorisation of invoices.
  • Liaise with off-site employees regarding submission of expenses.
  • Processing expense claims and credit card expenses.
  • Payment of suppliers and expenses through twic BACS payment runs, including PAYE and VAT fortnightly.
  • Updating and maintaining Installers’ spreadsheet for monthly invoicing.
  • Raising monthly installers’ invoices in sage 200.
  • Assisting Accounts Administrator in sales invoicing.
  • Assisting Credit Controller in credit control and updating of spreadsheets.
  • Updating of the pre-payments schedules
  • Running of weekly, monthly reports and spreadsheet updates
  • Filing, Accounts house-keeping and archiving
  • To help provide training and support to new members of staff.

Working Week

Monday – Friday 9:00am – 5:30pm


Requirements & Prospects


Ideally a minimum 4 GCSE’s C and above Including Maths, English and ICT (or equivalents)

Throughout the duration of your Apprenticeship you will be required to attend the 3aaa Accountancy Academy in Watford on a day release basis, the remainder of your training will be completed in the workplace.

You will work to achieve the highly recognised AAT (Association of Accounting Technicians) qualification and receive MAAT (Member of Association of Accounting Technicians) status.

You will be learning about all aspects of Accounting and learning new skills related to how businesses work. On the Apprenticeship there will be a good mixture of hands-on practical work and written work.
