Job Description

Graphic Design Apprentice This is really a fantastic opportunity at Potters Leisure Resort for an Apprentice Graphic Designer that will be responsible for delivering design for a number of critical projects

The successful candidate will be ready to develop their existing skills by working with senior creative staff on a range of projects. An understanding of typography, layout, and art direction will be needed to help the team produce the best work possible.


A good knowledge of the following tools is required:


  • InDesign
  • Illustrator
  • Photoshop


Communication is a big part of the job, so the design Apprentice must feel confident enough to contribute to the entire creative process. Keeping a finger on the pulse of current trends is also key.


Main duties:

  • Editing, amending and updating existing designs, making sure they are consistent with Potters brand guidelines and that all artwork is presented to a high standard and fit for purpose across all formats – e.g. print and digital and delivered on time
  • Communicating with senior team members to receive feedback
  • Liaising effectively with departments and other team members

Offering input to creative meetings and sharing ideas

Working Week

Monday – Friday 9:00am – 5:00pm 37.5 hours per week


Requirements & Prospects


Ideally a minimum 4 GCSE’s C and above Including Maths, English and ICT (or equivalents)

Throughout the duration of the Apprenticeship you will be required to attend the 3aaa Digital Marketing Academy based in Norwich for an intensive 3-day block study. This is followed by attendance at the Academy on day release once a month thereafter for structured training, and the remainder of the training will be completed in the workplace. The Apprentice will work towards an Advanced Apprenticeship in Digital Marketing. The Apprenticeship consists of:
• Level 3 Diploma in Digital Marketing
• Level 2 Functional Skills English, Maths, ICT (if applicable)
