Are you an IT Hardware enthusiastic who is eager to learn more? If you are looking to start your IT apprenticeship career as soon as possible, love IT and would like to help others resolve their IT issues whilst constantly learning please get in touch now! You could be starting your IT career as an apprentice by November!
The role will include full training and will be to answer support calls from customers via the telephone, email and automated tickets on the internal systems, the support provided will be of a technical nature and will require the candidate to be able to communicate effectively and have a good technical knowledge to resolve the issue in a timely manner or escalate to another level to be resolved.

Responsibilities

  • Serve as the first point of contact for customers seeking technical assistance over the phone or email
  • Perform remote or onsite troubleshooting through diagnostic techniques
  • Determine the best solution based on the issue and details provided by customers
  • Walk the customer through the problem-solving process
  • Direct unresolved issues to the next level of support personnel
  • Provide accurate information on IT products or services
  • Accurately record events and problems and their resolution in logs

Full training will be given however a proven passion for IT is a must for this role.

 

Working Week

Monday – Friday 9:00am – 5:00pm

Qualifications

A minimum of 5 GCSE’s C and above Including Maths, English and ICT (or equivalents)

Desired Skills

  1. Customer service, computer literate, basic IT technical skills such as a basic knowledge of computer components.

Personal Qualities

  1. Ability to problem solve, remain calm under pressure, motivated, a keen interest in IT.

Training

Throughout the duration of your Apprenticeship you will be required to attend the 3aaa Technology Academy in Tamworth for up to 12 weeks on a block release basis for structured training. The remainder of your training will be completed in the workplace with your Employer. You will work towards a Level 3 Advanced Apprenticeship for IT, Software, Web and Telecoms Professionals. The qualifications consist of:
• Edexcel Advanced Apprenticeship in IT, Software, Web and Telecoms
• L3 Diploma in ICT Professional Competence
• L3 Extended Diploma in ICT Systems and Principles
• Level 2 Functional Skills English, Maths, ICT (if applicable)
