Job Description

  1. dealing with general administration duties including:


    • dealing with customers face to face
    • dealing with incoming and outgoing post
    • answering incoming telephone calls
    • assisting with statistics and survey data input
    • undertaking telephone calls and surveys to customers


  1. To learn a wide range of customer service activities, working with the Neighbourhoods/Customer First Team, including:


    • rent account management
    • tenancy compliancy and the processing of anti-social behaviour cases
    • tenancy terminations, successions and assignments
    • mutual exchanges
    • garage applications and offers
    • void management and Golding Homes lettings process
    • liaising with the external agencies such as Housing Benefits
    • making referrals to supporting agencies


  1. To learn to use a range of computer software products including:


    • Locata
    • Orchard Housing
    • Documotive: electronic post management and housefile repository
    • Desktop Telephony System
    • Microsoft Outlook, Word and Excel
    • SNAP Professional
    • Specific web-based sites used everyday within the team

Working Week

35 hours per week 8.30am – 5pm Mon-Thurs 8.30am – 4pm Friday with 1 hours’ lunch


Requirements & Prospects


Ideally a minimum 4 GCSE’s C and above Including Maths, English and ICT (or equivalents)

Desired Skills

 Basic knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel and Outlook
 Work experience in an office or customer service environment e.g. school work experience, part time job (desirable)
