Excellent opportunity working for a computer repairs company based in Hull. The Apprentice I.T technician will provide service support to the company’s customers.
Working alongside the managing director of the company you will be responsible for the following duties on a daily basis:

  • Dealing with customers on the telephone and face to face
  • Booking in jobs with the company on behalf of the customers
  • Basic diagnosis of faults and ordering parts
  • Dissembling laptops including fault finding
  • Managing the e-commerce website
  • Maintaining customer data maintaining confidentiality at all times
  • Logging and recording diagnosis outcomes and reports onto customer management system
  • Updating the tracking management system throughout all stages of the repair jobs
  • Booking in computer and laptop diagnosing
  • Repairing hardware and software problems
  • Responsible for the selling of parts
  • Billing customers for repairs and sales


Working Week

Monday - Friday 9.30-4.30 37.5hrs pw


Requirements & Prospects


A minimum of 5 GCSE’s C and above Including Maths, English and ICT (or equivalents)

Desired Skills

  1. Ideally have experience and knowledge of basic diagnostic and repairs of computers and/or laptops.

Throughout the duration of your Apprenticeship you will be required to attend the 3aaa Technology Academy in Hull for up to 12 weeks on a block release basis for structured training. The remainder of your training will be completed in the workplace with your Employer. You will work towards a Level 3 Advanced Apprenticeship for IT, Software, Web and Telecoms Professionals. The qualifications consist of:
• Edexcel Advanced Apprenticeship in IT, Software, Web and Telecoms
• L3 Diploma in ICT Professional Competence
• L3 Extended Diploma in ICT Systems and Principles
• Level 2 Functional Skills English, Maths, ICT (if applicable)
