Job Description

Passion and creativity is a key driver in our organisation, consistently delivering service value and quality. How would you like to be a part of a fantastic team as an IT Apprentice? Responsible for providing first line helpdesk support to customers.
  • To provide first line helpdesk support to customers for hardware, software, audio-visual, photocopiers & telephone equipment.
  • To assist with the setting up, maintenance & repair of computers, audio-visual equipment, computer-linked equipment & computer related equipment.
  • To install & configure software applications.
  • To help produce & maintain documentation as necessary.
  • To maintain satisfactory standards of safety & security in relation to computer rooms & equipment.
  • To set up, maintain & organise repairs for various computing, audio visual & telephone equipment.
  • To proactively implement the companies’ policies & procedures.
  • To undertake any other relevant duties as may reasonably be requested by the IT team.
  • To provide support & training of associates as they leverage mobile technologies such as iOS devices & cloud based computing.

Working Week

Monday – Friday 9:00am – 5:00pm 37.5 HOURS PER WEEK


Requirements & Prospects


Ideally a minimum 4 GCSE’s C and above Including Maths, English and ICT (or equivalents)

Desired Skills

• Relevant IT qualification at level 2 desirable
• Experience in general IT
• Excellent communication skills
• Must have a driving licence
• Good organisational skills

• A keen interest in IT and how systems work

Throughout the duration of your Apprenticeship you will be required to attend the 3aaa Technology Academy in Blackburn for up to 12 weeks on a block release basis for structured training. The remainder of your training will be completed in the workplace with your Employer. You will work towards a Level 3 Advanced Apprenticeship for IT, Software, Web and Telecoms Professionals. The qualifications consist of:
• Edexcel Advanced Apprenticeship in IT, Software, Web and Telecoms
• L3 Diploma in ICT Professional Competence
• L3 Extended Diploma in ICT Systems and Principles
• Level 2 Functional Skills English, Maths, ICT (if applicable)
