Job Description

As an LDD Group ICT Helpdesk Apprentice, you’ll be responsible for helping to resolve ICT issues from our IT supported clients. You will gain hands on technical experience of fixing issue live, over the phone and practical experience in our workshop. You will also be on hand to assist your colleagues in the office with any day-to-day IT issues.

You’ll need to be a good communicator with good IT, literacy/numeracy skills and have a tactful telephone manner with an interest in IT. For this role it would be an advantage if you can remain calm under pressure and be courteous when communicating to customers both internally and externally

Job Duties & responsibilities

Responsible for the timely resolution of client IT issues

Creating, updating and closing support tickets

Liaising with clients and manufacturers (via telephone and email)

Investigating the root-cause of the IT faults/issues

Liaising & engage with LDD Group’s sales department

Another duties associated with the role

Working Week

Monday – Friday 8:00am – 4:00pm 37.5 hours per week

Throughout the duration of your Apprenticeship you will be required to attend the 3aaa Technology Academy in Leeds for up to 12 weeks on a block release basis for structured training. The remainder of your training will be completed in the workplace with your Employer. You will work towards a Level 3 Advanced Apprenticeship for IT, Software, Web and Telecoms Professionals. The qualifications consist of:
• Edexcel Advanced Apprenticeship in IT, Software, Web and Telecoms
• L3 Diploma in ICT Professional Competence
• L3 Extended Diploma in ICT Systems and Principles
• Level 2 Functional Skills English, Maths, ICT (if applicable)
