Job Description

Do you have an interest and passion for IT and how this is used within business? Already have skills and knowledge in this area? If so we have a great opportunity for an IT apprentice to work with a prestigious leading global security company in Coventry
  • Provisioning of end-user services, including help desk and technical support services. Ensure that all requests from users are logged, updated and closed in line with operational level agreements.

 

  • Install, configure and deploy computer system hardware and software.

 

  • Installation, configuration, maintenance, and troubleshooting of end user hardware, software and peripheral devices.

 

  • Administer and maintain end user accounts, permissions, and access rights.

 

  • Assist Network and Server administrators with scheduled maintenance and assist in performing network improvements, upgrades and repairs.

 

  • Check system backups daily and escalate any problems identified.

 

  • Assist with the Identification and resolution of potential security breaches and vulnerability issues in a timely and accurate fashion.

 

  • Provide technical, operational and training support to departmental personnel for all computer related equipment, peripherals, accessories and components.

 

  • Research and evaluate new software and hardware technologies which could enhance the computer system.

 

  • Maintain hardware/software inventory.

 

  • Ability to write business correspondence and technical documentation.

Working Week

Monday – Friday 9:00am – 5:00pm

Qualifications

Ideally a minimum 4 GCSE’s C and above Including Maths, English and ICT (or equivalents)

Training

Throughout the duration of your Apprenticeship you will be required to attend the 3aaa Technology Academy in Leamington Spa for up to 12 weeks on a block release basis for structured training. The remainder of your training will be completed in the workplace with your Employer. You will work towards a Level 3 Advanced Apprenticeship for IT, Software, Web and Telecoms Professionals. The qualifications consist of:
• Edexcel Advanced Apprenticeship in IT, Software, Web and Telecoms
• L3 Diploma in ICT Professional Competence
• L3 Extended Diploma in ICT Systems and Principles
• Level 2 Functional Skills English, Maths & ICT (if applicable)
