Job DescriptionDo you want an excellent opportunity to start your career in IT in a rapidly expanding international business? Macs Software Limited are a developer of software specialising in logistics companies worldwide. They are looking for an apprentice for IT Helpdesk.
Macs software are looking for an enthusiastic individual to join the company in a IT Helpdesk/General Admin capacity. Reporting tio your line manager your duties will include:
Answering the phone and monitoring the helpdesk e mail account
On receipt of a call, log the details and agree the level of urgency.
On receipt of an e mail contact the customer, log the call and agree on the level of urgency
Monitor urgent calls and advise management when the SLA is going to be exceeded
Record what calls are allocated to which helpdesk operator and log the time.
Produce helpdesk reports
You will be the first point of contact for all helpdesk calls and will continue to liaise with customers as appropriate
Working WeekMonday – Friday 8.30-5.30 37.5 Hours per week
Requirements & Prospects
QualificationsIdeally a minimum 4 GCSE’s C and above Including Maths, English and ICT (or equivalents)
Desired SkillsComputer Literate
Interest in IT
Already hold some form of Level 3 qualification in IT either complete or partly completed
Willingness to learn

• Edexcel Advanced Apprenticeship in IT, Software, Web and Telecoms
• L3 Diploma in ICT Professional Competence
• L3 Extended Diploma in ICT Systems and Principles
• Level 2 Functional Skills English, Maths, ICT (if applicable)
