Job Description

A great opportunity to work for an excellent company based near Fareham that offer IT services for companies, schools and colleges across Hampshire.

The successful candidate will be required to:


  • To provide onsite 1st line technical support for the school’s ICT systems
  • Ensure equipment is installed and ready for use by staff and pupils
  • Utilise the Helpdesk System provided to manage all tickets and requests
  • Ensure all tickets are up to date at all times
  • Manage priorities and working time effectively
  • Ensure monitoring alerts are investigated and where required logged on the Helpdesk
  • Communicate with School Staff and appointed Virtual Network Manager
  • Liaise with third party software and service providers where required
  • Maintain customer IT records
  • Be polite and courteous to all clients at all times
  • Be ready to start work at your allotted time

Working Week

Monday – Friday 9:00am – 5:00pm


Requirements & Prospects


Ideally a minimum 4 GCSE’s C and above Including Maths, English and ICT (or equivalents)

Throughout the duration of your Apprenticeship you will be required to attend the 3aaa Technology Academy in Southampton for up to 12 weeks on a block release basis for structured training. The remainder of your training will be completed in the workplace with your Employer. You will work towards a Level 3 Advanced Apprenticeship for IT, Software, Web and Telecoms Professionals. The qualifications consist of:
• Edexcel Advanced Apprenticeship in IT, Software, Web and Telecoms
• L3 Diploma in ICT Professional Competence
• L3 Extended Diploma in ICT Systems and Principles
• Level 2 Functional Skills English, Maths, ICT (if applicable)
