Job Description

The successful apprentice will work within the IT service team providing a high level of IT remote support to our current customers plus providing on site project support when required.

This position will be for an Apprentice Support/ Helpdesk Analyst. The successful candidate will be predominantly answering the telephone as 1st line support logging calls and remotely fixing issues.


This position will involve working with an array of people from 1st to 4th line senior IT staff, IT solutions director and the business owners.


Typical roles and responsibilities will include but are not limited to the following:

  • Answering Helpdesk Telephone
  • Logging Calls
  • Providing Remote IT desktop Support
  • Providing Some Project support
  • Supporting the team within the Planet IT business
  • Potential progress within the growing Service department


The role will initially involve quite a lot of self-study from educational video’s and the employer is dedicated to investing time and money into the development of an apprentice.


(Full training and support will be provided as part of the 12 month apprenticeship)

Working Week

Monday – Friday 8am-4.30pm 37.5 hrs pw


Requirements & Prospects


Ideally a minimum 4 GCSE’s C and above Including Maths, English and ICT (or equivalents)

Some IT skills Preferable (familiar with Microsoft products)
