Job Description

As a colleague at Carlton Bolling College you will support the visions and values of the school.

 

  1. Document and maintain effective records for all procedures.
  2. Maintain current inventory of resources and network documentation.
  3. Install the College core software toolbox on to stand-alone, networked computers and laptops.
  4. Carry out regular checks of all equipment, software network and internet connections.
  5. Comply with legal and organisational requirements for maintaining the health, safety and security of self and others in the learning environment.
  6. Take appropriate action to minimise any risks to the health, safety or security of self or others arising from the use of ICT equipment or facilities.
  7. Identify and employ good practice with regard to manual lifting.
  8. Ensure that any faulty equipment is isolated from any power source, appropriately labelled and made safe and secure.
  9. Other duties commensurate with ICT support as directed by the ICT manager.
  10. Work on a rotation basis to cover full duty period for the role.

Monday – Friday 9:00am – 5:00pm

Training

Throughout the duration of your Apprenticeship you will be required to attend the 3aaa Technology Academy in Bradford for up to 12 weeks on a block release basis for structured training. The remainder of your training will be completed in the workplace with your Employer. You will work towards a Level 3 Advanced Apprenticeship for IT, Software, Web and Telecoms Professionals. The qualifications consist of:
• Edexcel Advanced Apprenticeship in IT, Software, Web and Telecoms
• L3 Diploma in ICT Professional Competence
• L3 Extended Diploma in ICT Systems and Principles
• Level 2 Functional Skills English, Maths, ICT (if applicable)
