Job Description

This is a fantastic opportunity to work for one of the best communication and networking companies in Norfolk! With over 20 years’ experience in designing and installing cabling systems they are looking for an NetworkTechnician to join their busy team!

We are looking for a Network Engineer that will become an integral part of the team and will be undertaking the following roles:


Main roles include:


  • On site Installation
  • Support and maintenance of AV
  • Maintenance of Network equipment (including wireless networks) and TV distribution
  • On site and remote support of Network and AV products & systems & TV distribution systems.
  • General Technical Assistance as required.
  • We install a range of structured cabling systems, both Cat5e and Cat6, to provide cost effective solutions to customer requirements, including manufacturers warranties and certified test results.
  • We also install fibre optic links and telephone multi-core link cables, as well as wireless inter-building links.
  • Supply and install associated equipment, such as server cabinets, switches, wireless networks and networked CCTV.
  • Support and maintenance of AV, network equipment (including wireless networks) and TV distribution
  • On site and remote support of Network and AV products & systems & TV distribution systems.

The successful candidate should be able to work on their own and as part of a team, their role will be developed over time under supervision of the Technical Director, so would not be sent out on their own immediately.

Full training will be delivered as required.

Working Week

Monday – Friday 8:00am – 5:00pm 40 hrs pw


Requirements & Prospects


Ideally a minimum 4 GCSE’s C and above Including Maths, English and ICT (or equivalents)

Must drive and have own car as you will need to travel to sites when confident.
Good problem solving ability.

Throughout the duration of your Apprenticeship you will be required to attend the 3aaa Technology Academy in Norwich for up to 12 weeks on a block release basis for structured training. The remainder of your training will be completed in the workplace with your Employer. You will work towards a Level 3 Advanced Apprenticeship for IT, Software, Web and Telecoms Professionals. The qualifications consist of:
• Edexcel Advanced Apprenticeship in IT, Software, Web and Telecoms
• L3 Diploma in ICT Professional Competence
• L3 Extended Diploma in ICT Systems and Principles
• Level 2 Functional Skills English, Maths, ICT (if applicable)
