Job Description

  • To provide project management support to deliver externally funded contracts.
  •  Co-ordinate, maintain and monitor all AELP project contracts.
  •  Assist with setting up surveys, support data collection and analysis for AELP’s research function


Key tasks and responsibilities:

  • Provide project management co-ordination and administrative support to a range of external projects, including projects funded through European Union (EU) grants
  • For EU projects, maintain accurate records including timesheets and prepare financial and progress reports for timely submission
  • Draft project reports for submission to funding organisations
  • Assist the finance team in carrying out due diligence checks prior to contracting with delivery partners and other suppliers
  • Prepare and issue contracts for external delivery partners and other suppliers
  • Co-ordinate supplier contracts with contracts from funding organisations
  • Track the status of all contracts through the maintenance of a contracts spreadsheet
  • Liaise with Project Managers to ensure that all activities required for milestone payments have been delivered and alert the finance team when invoices can be raised
  • Log enquires on to the Customer Relationship Management (CRM) system and co-ordinate responses
  • Provide support for AELP’s research function assisting with the collection and analyse of data, as required
  • Maintain the register of AELP consultants
  • Attend meetings/events related to member interests and external organisations as required
  • To act as an excellent ambassador for AELP at all times
  • Other duties as may be required from time to time in support of the business

Working Week

Monday – Friday 9:00am – 5:00pm


Requirements & Prospects


Ideally a minimum 4 GCSE’s C and above Including Maths, English and ICT (or equivalents)

Desired Skills

• Good written and oral communication skills
• Skilled in use of all common desktop software (e.g. MS Office) – in particular Excel
• An eye for detail

Personal Qualities

• A self starter, proactive and able to work independently
• Can deliver accurately to deadlines
