Job Description

Role Purpose

  • To ensure Service Level Agreements (SLAs) are not breached
  • To assist with coordination of all activities to restore IM service operations and NGA services following a high severity incident.
  • To ensure that NGA is not adversely affected by significant or recurring Incidents.

Role activities

  • Reviewing and chasing our Infrastructure and Application teams to ensure SLAs are not breached
  • Assist with Severity 1 and 2 incident internal communications
  • Assist with the Planning and organising of resolver teams to resolve major incidents.
  • Ensuring resolver groups carry out Root Cause Analysis (RCA) and update the Problem record with a description of the RCA.
  • Ensuring that Problems and Known Errors are documented, managed effectively, efficiently and that identified solutions or effective workarounds are implemented to resolve
  • Working proactively to ensure that, where possible, Problems are identified and resolved before service is impacted
  • Encourage the adherence of the Problem Management process

Working Week

Monday – Friday 9:00am – 5:00pm


Requirements & Prospects


Ideally a minimum 4 GCSE’s C and above Including Maths, English and ICT (or equivalents)

Throughout the duration of your Apprenticeship you will be required to attend the 3aaa Technology Academy in Peterborough for up to 12 weeks on a block release basis for structured training. The remainder of your training will be completed in the workplace with your Employer. You will work towards a Level 3 Advanced Apprenticeship for IT, Software, Web and Telecoms Professionals. The qualifications consist of:
• Edexcel Advanced Apprenticeship in IT, Software, Web and Telecoms
• L3 Diploma in ICT Professional Competence
• L3 Extended Diploma in ICT Systems and Principles
• Level 2 Functional Skills English, Maths, ICT (if applicable)
