Job Description

We are looking for a personable character who is good with people and has a decent level of IT and networking skills. The chosen candidate will be trained in VOIP and hosted telephone systems.

OpenVoice is looking to recruit a passionate and enthusiastic individual who will reproduce the companies can do attitude. OpenVoice is small, but highly respected company within the telecoms industry. Building and maintaining relationships with contacts is what sets us apart from other companies.

A successful candidate should be able to naturally engage with customers and provide solutions to problems and faults that arise.

The role will be predominantly an office based maintenance role with options to work on new and existing sites with established engineers.

The day to day role will be to engage with customers and work through faults that are reported. The provisioning of telephony kit for upcoming installations.

Working Week

09:00 – 17:30 - 4 days per week – 30 hours per week May also be required to stay overnight throughout the country.


Requirements & Prospects


Ideally a minimum 4 GCSE’s C and above Including Maths, English and ICT (or equivalents)

Throughout the duration of your Apprenticeship you will be required to attend the 3aaa Technology Academy in York. for up to 12 weeks on a block release basis for structured training. The remainder of your training will be completed in the workplace with your Employer. You will work towards a Level 3 Advanced Apprenticeship for IT, Software, Web and Telecoms Professionals. The qualifications consist of:
• Edexcel Advanced Apprenticeship in IT, Software, Web and Telecoms
• L3 Diploma in ICT Professional Competence
• L3 Extended Diploma in ICT Systems and Principles
• Level 2 Functional Skills English, Maths, ICT (if applicable)
