Job Description

We are looking for an ambitious and creative PR, social media and content marketing assistant to join our team. You will have a passion for all things digital, be driven by generating results and you’ll never do dull. You will be well organised and inquisitive, always looking for opportunities to develop your knowledge and understanding.

The successful candidate will be responsible for assisting the Senior Manager and client teams in the following activities:
Main Activities
Social Media & Content Marketing
• Updating social media content
• Undertaking influencer research and outreach
• Updating client reports in Excel spreadsheets
• Generating content ideas in team brainstorms
• Design activities
• Blogging activities
• Research activities
• Tracking, measuring and reporting on social media activities

PR & Administration

• Compiling and circulating the daily newspaper log
• Compiling/updating media research and media contact lists
• Booking suppliers for events
• Media audits
• Speaking to suppliers and media on the telephone
• Filing and organising client images/content
• Generating creative ideas in team brainstorms
• Writing activities
• Research activities
• Administrative activities

Qualifications

Ideally a minimum 4 GCSE’s C and above Including Maths, English and ICT (or equivalents)

Desired Skills

• Excellent written/spoken English (essential)
• Strong communications skills (essential)
• Basic experience using core social media platforms - Facebook, Twitter, Instagram and Pinterest (essential)
• Experience of/interest in using design software to create visual content – e.g. Photoshop, Illustrator, GIMP etc
• Knowledge of/interest in other/emerging social media platforms – e.g LinkedIn, Snapchat etc
• Excellent organisational skills
• The desire to increase your knowledge around social media and content marketing
• GCSE English and Maths (minimum grade C)
• Basic experience with Word and Excel

Training

Throughout the duration of the Apprenticeship you will be required to attend the 3aaa Digital Marketing Academy based in Liverpool for an intensive 3-day block study. This is followed by attendance at the Academy on day release once a month thereafter for structured training, and the remainder of the training will be completed in the workplace. The Apprentice will work towards an Advanced Apprenticeship in Digital Marketing. The Apprenticeship consists of:
• Level 3 Diploma in Digital Marketing
• Level 2 Functional Skills English, Maths, ICT (if applicable)
