Job Description

This is a great opportunity for an apprentice to develop their skills and career by becoming part of a dynamic and exciting software support team. The role will primarily be focussed around assisting two main areas, these are cortex support and internal IT.

The apprentice’s responsibilities will include but not be limited to:

  • Helpdesk & software support
  • Learning how to follow incident management procedures
  • Learning and understanding about the company


  • Fixes, testing and deployment
  • Checking the systems health to prevent incidents
  • Analysing health reports and resolving any problems detected if possible
  • Help with building the knowledge support database
  • Logging all incoming incidents accurately and ensure sufficient information is recorded
  • General help desk activities
  • IT internal support: network, servers and workstations

IT Administration: backups, inventory, networking (DHCP, DNS, Internet, AD)

Working Week

Monday – Friday 9:00am – 5:00pm


Requirements & Prospects


Ideally a minimum 4 GCSE’s C and above Including Maths, English and ICT (or equivalents)

Throughout the duration of your Apprenticeship you will be required to attend the 3aaa Technology Academy in Southampton for up to 12 weeks on a block release basis for structured training. The remainder of your training will be completed in the workplace with your Employer. You will work towards a Level 3 Advanced Apprenticeship for IT, Software, Web and Telecoms Professionals. The qualifications consist of:
• Edexcel Advanced Apprenticeship in IT, Software, Web and Telecoms
• L3 Diploma in ICT Professional Competence
• L3 Extended Diploma in ICT Systems and Principles
• Level 2 Functional Skills English, Maths, ICT (if applicable)
