Job Description

Assystems are looking for a junior software developer to join their team in Bamber Bridge, Preston. You will be working alongside an existing team of developers and will be fully trained.

Assystems are looking for a driven problem solver to join their team in Bamber Bridge. You will work with the development team and learn how to support and carry out the following responsibilities:

  • Software deployment and full product functional testing
  • Content management
  • Requirements gathering
  • Creating Documentation
  • Maintain project and testing deadlines

Dealing with requests from internal stuff

Working Week

Monday – Friday 9:00am – 5:00pm


Requirements & Prospects


A minimum of 5 GCSE’s C and above Including Maths and English (or equivalents)

Desired Skills

Some prior knowledge / experience with content managements systems.
A good understanding of .net framework, c#,.net, ASP, HTML, CSS, JQuery and Javascript.
Excellent attention to detail

The remainder of your training will be completed in the workplace with your Employer. You will work towards a Level 3 Apprenticeship standard –Software Development Technician. The qualifications consist of:
• Level 2 Functional Skills English and Maths (if applicable)
• Knowledge Module 1 – Software Development Methodologies Part 1 (Introduction)
• Knowledge Module 2 – Programming Part 1 (Introduction)
• Knowledge Module 1 – Software Development Methodologies Part 2 (Plus Exam)
• Knowledge Module 2 – Programming Part 2 (Plus Exam)
Knowledge Modules are specified by the British Computer Society (BCS)
