Job Description

An exciting opportunity has arrived to join an exciting software development business in Runcorn. We are looking for ambitious, innovative developers with excellent problem-solving abilities and initiative to join our highly successful Software Development team.

Apprenticeship job role:

Key Duties:

·         Work in all phases of the software development life cycle including: planning, design, development, testing and support

·         Develop large scale web applications within a microservice architecture

·         Write user guides and documentation

·         Learning and applying technical skills

Candidate will be exposed to:

·         Microsoft .NET Stack: ASP .NET Core / Standard

·         Languages:

o   C# and .NET Core / Standard Web API 2

o   SQL/T-SQL and NoSQL (MongoDB)

o   JavaScript (Angular, Node, Express and Gulp) and JSON

o   HTML 5 and CSS 3 (SASS)

Working Week

Monday – Friday 9:00am – 5:00pm

Training

Throughout the duration of your Apprenticeship (typically 15 months) you will be required to attend the 3aaa Technology Academy in Liverpool for 16 days of training. The remainder of your training will be completed in the workplace with your Employer. You will work towards a Level 3 Apprenticeship standard –Software Development Technician. The qualifications consist of:
• Level 2 Functional Skills English and Maths (if applicable)
• Knowledge Module 1 – Software Development Methodologies Part 1 (Introduction)
• Knowledge Module 2 – Programming Part 1 (Introduction)
• Knowledge Module 1 – Software Development Methodologies Part 2 (Plus Exam)
• Knowledge Module 2 – Programming Part 2 (Plus Exam)
Knowledge Modules are specified by the British Computer Society (BCS)
