Listed below are the principal duties and activities this individual will undertake:
Database configuration and data manipulation based at our offices.
Database system installation and configuration (for client implementations)
Developing database queries (SQL) and reports
Writing and maintaining database triggers (in line with functional requirements)
Web page layout an styling (HTML, CSS)
Product testing

Additional duties-In addition, the successful candidate will be expected to:
Speak to customers about software installation and configuration Deal with customer queries and problems

Working Week

Monday – Friday 9:00am – 5:00pm


Requirements & Prospects


A minimum of 5 GCSE’s C and above Including Maths and English (or equivalents)

  2. Good communication (verbal & written) skills are essential
  3. The ability to listen and understand customers’ needs

Throughout the duration of your Apprenticeship (typically 15 months) you will be required to attend the 3aaa Technology Academy in Milton Keynes for 16 days of training. The remainder of your training will be completed in the workplace with your Employer. You will work towards a Level 3 Apprenticeship standard –Software Development Technician. The qualifications consist of:
• Level 2 Functional Skills English and Maths (if applicable)
• Knowledge Module 1 – Software Development Methodologies Part 1 (Introduction)
• Knowledge Module 2 – Programming Part 1 (Introduction)
• Knowledge Module 1 – Software Development Methodologies Part 2 (Plus Exam)
• Knowledge Module 2 – Programming Part 2 (Plus Exam)
Knowledge Modules are specified by the British Computer Society (BCS)
