Job Description

We require X4 IT Technical Support apprentices to join and assist the business in the day to day ICT support requirements.

Role specific duties –

  • Knowledge of Microsoft Server and Desktop Operating Systems, including Microsoft AD and Exchange and Knowledge of TCP/IP Networking will be advantageous.
  • Provide exceptional first line support across a multitude of hardware / software devices to existing clients
  • Install and configure computer systems
  • Diagnose and solve hardware/software faults
  • Log customer/employee queries
  • Accurately diagnose an issue based on the information you have been given
  • Resolve an issue efficiently and accurately and record information
  • Maintain good communication with your clients and manager at all times
  • Complete Windows Installation & Reinstallation
  • Software License Sales & Installation
  • Routine Maintenance and Optimisation
  • Data Recovery & Shredding
  • Virus/Spyware Removal
  • Email / telephone / enquiries
  • General office administration duties will also be required of you

Working Week

Monday – Friday 9:00am – 5:00pm


Requirements & Prospects


Ideally a minimum 4 GCSE’s C and above Including Maths, English and ICT (or equivalents)

Desired Skills

• Some technical repair experience would be beneficial
• Customer service experience would be beneficial
• Good knowledge of hardware/components

Personal Qualities

A keen interest in all things IT and especially the Technical Support side.

Throughout the duration of your Apprenticeship you will be required to attend the 3aaa Technology Academy in Brighton for up to 12 weeks on a block release basis for structured training. The remainder of your training will be completed in the workplace with your Employer. You will work towards a Level 3 Advanced Apprenticeship for IT, Software, Web and Telecoms Professionals. The qualifications consist of:
• Edexcel Advanced Apprenticeship in IT, Software, Web and Telecoms
• L3 Diploma in ICT Professional Competence
• L3 Extended Diploma in ICT Systems and Principles
• Level 2 Functional Skills English, Maths, ICT (if applicable)
