Job Description

Systems Integration Limited is based on the Fradley Park in Lichfield and they are looking for that certain individual to work within their busy IT team but you must have the passion and enthusiasm to go with the role. The duties will include:

• Managing Hardware repairs
• Imaging PC’s
• Configuring new hardware
• Providing 1st and 2nd line support to customers
• Providing support regarding touch screens, scanners and printers
• Checking for faults
• Sending items to repair centres
• Setting up devices
• Running diagnostics for faults on a range of products
• To maintain a high degree of customer service for all support queries
• Respond to enquiries from clients and help them resolve any hardware or software problems
• Support users in the use of computer equipment by providing necessary training and advice
In addition the successful apprentice will be involved with and trained fully on the following:
– Support Process including call logging and SLA monitoring
– Windows OS platforms, XP, Windows 7, Windows server 2003/8/12.
– network concepts
– IT helpdesk or Support Centre environment
– MS SQL Server environments (Backup, Restore, SQL Queries)
You will become a valued member of the team and receive full training and support during the 12 month Apprenticeship

Working Week

Monday – Friday 9:00am – 5:00pm

Qualifications

Ideally a minimum 4 GCSE’s C and above Including Maths, English and ICT (or equivalents)

Computer literate, Excellent customer service, confident with using the telephone

Training

Throughout the duration of your Apprenticeship you will be required to attend the 3aaa Technology Academy in Tamworth for up to 12 weeks on a block release basis for structured training. The remainder of your training will be completed in the workplace with your Employer. You will work towards a Level 3 Advanced Apprenticeship for IT, Software, Web and Telecoms Professionals. The qualifications consist of:
• Edexcel Advanced Apprenticeship in IT, Software, Web and Telecoms
• L3 Diploma in ICT Professional Competence
• L3 Extended Diploma in ICT Systems and Principles
• Level 2 Functional Skills English, Maths, ICT (if applicable)
