Job Description

Have a passion for web development? Love making something that is functional and looks good? This apprenticeship in web development awaits.
In this exciting apprenticeship in web development you will learn how to

  • Develop and manage e-commerce websites, web applications & web sites.
  • Analyze, design, code, debug, test, document & deploy applications.
  • Participate in project & deployment planning.
  • Exposure to Magento, CMS, Code Ignitor, OpenCart as well as Javascript frameworks such as jQuery.
  • Work on Magento integration with external systems, viz CMS/CRM/ERP/Payment/Shipping etc.
  • Can understand the goals and create strategies for each project.
  • Develop knowledge in Magento Extension development.

 

 

Working Week

Monday – Friday 9:00am – 5:00pm

Qualifications

A minimum of 5 GCSE’s C and above Including Maths and English (or equivalents)

• Have an eye for creativity and the ability to produce strong front-end design.

• Ability to problem solve
• Ability to communicate creative and technical ideas

Training

Throughout the duration of your Apprenticeship (typically 15 months) you will be required to attend the 3aaa Technology Academy in for 16 days of training. The remainder of your training will be completed in the workplace with your Employer. You will work towards a Level 3 Apprenticeship standard –Software Development Technician. The qualifications consist of:
• Level 2 Functional Skills English and Maths (if applicable)
• Knowledge Module 1 – Software Development Methodologies Part 1 (Introduction)
• Knowledge Module 2 – Programming Part 1 (Introduction)
• Knowledge Module 1 – Software Development Methodologies Part 2 (Plus Exam)
• Knowledge Module 2 – Programming Part 2 (Plus Exam)
Knowledge Modules are specified by the British Computer Society (BCS)
