Job Description

We require a Web Development and Graphic Designer to join and support the business in web development and graphic design

Role specific duties –
Amending existing website code and designs
Adding new pages, images, text to existing websites
Designing sample page layouts including text size and colours
Designing graphics, animations and manipulating digital photographs
Creating design ideas
Using a variety of software packages
Working with different content management systems
Editing content, debugging code and re-designing web pages
Testing the website to ensure it is working across multiple platforms and devices
Researching current design trends

Working Week

Monday – Friday 9:00am – 5:00pm 30 HOURS PER WEEK


Requirements & Prospects


Ideally a minimum 4 GCSE’s C and above Including Maths, English and ICT (or equivalents)

Desired Skills

• Experience in HTML
• Experience or knowledge of Dreamweaver
• Experience in FTP software and clients such as FileZilla
• Proficient in Adobe Photoshop and other Creative Cloud apps
• Knowledge of Responsive web design techniques
• Knowledge in Wordpress
• Good general web skills, web-based email & browser technologies

Throughout the duration of your Apprenticeship you will be required to attend the 3aaa Technology Academy in Peterborough for up to 12 weeks on a block release basis for structured training. The remainder of your training will be completed in the workplace with your Employer. You will work towards a Level 3 Advanced Apprenticeship for IT, Software, Web and Telecoms Professionals. The qualifications consist of:
• Edexcel Advanced Apprenticeship in IT, Software, Web and Telecoms
• L3 Diploma in ICT Professional Competence
• L3 Extended Diploma in ICT Systems and Principles
• Level 2 Functional Skills English, Maths, ICT (if applicable)
