Job Description

We require X5 Web & Graphic Designer Apprentices to join and assist in the development of websites / apps through creative technology platforms.

Role specific duties –

  • Amending existing website code and designs
  • Adding new pages, images, text to existing websites
  • Designing sample page layouts including text size and colours
  • Designing graphics, animations and manipulating digital photographs
  • Creating design ideas
  • Using a variety of software packages
  • Working with different content management systems
  • Editing content, debugging code and re-designing web pages
  • Working with other web specialists including Junior and Senior Web and Graphic Designers
  • Testing the website to ensure it is working across multiple platforms and devices
  • Researching current design trends

Working Week

Monday – Friday 9:00am – 5:00pm


Requirements & Prospects


Ideally a minimum 4 GCSE’s C and above Including Maths, English and ICT (or equivalents)

Desired Skills

• Experience in HTML , PHP and CSS
• Knowledge of SASS / SCSS
• Knowledge of Responsive web design techniques
• Good general web skills, web-based email & browser technologies

Throughout the duration of your Apprenticeship you will be required to attend the 3aaa Technology Academy in Brighton for up to 12 weeks on a block release basis for structured training. The remainder of your training will be completed in the workplace with your Employer. You will work towards a Level 3 Advanced Apprenticeship for IT, Software, Web and Telecoms Professionals. The qualifications consist of:
• Edexcel Advanced Apprenticeship in IT, Software, Web and Telecoms
• L3 Diploma in ICT Professional Competence
• L3 Extended Diploma in ICT Systems and Principles
• Level 2 Functional Skills English, Maths, ICT (if applicable)
