Job Description

As one of the Workshop Technicians you’ll be responsible for maintaining the operation of the company goods in/goods out procedures. You will be configuring client hardware for their specific needs and requirements.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Handle and build IT equipment for 40+ key clients
  • Configure desktop computers and laptops using specific build processes. This includes; unboxing the new machines, loading an operating system onto them, installing our standard software, logging the user in and configuring their profile
  • Manage and book the workshop deliveries arriving at the business
  • Organise and prioritise your daily tasks to ensure maximum productivity
  • Maintain the cleanliness and organisation of the workshop
  • Ensure our processes are kept up to date and uploaded on to our knowledgebase
  • Carry out site visits to deliver and install hardware
  • Responsible for providing effective customer service and communication with 3rd parties and clients at all times
  • Develop a good understanding of our client base whilst building and maintaining good client relationships
  • Maintain awareness of and follow the company procedures and guidelines, including security, regulatory and quality related matters
  • Comply with all relevant legislative and legal requirements, including industry regulations, employment law, Data Protection and Health and Safety
  • Undertake any other duties as reasonably requested

Working Week

Monday – Friday 9:00am – 5:00pm

Qualifications

A minimum of 5 GCSE’s C and above Including Maths, English and ICT (or equivalents)

Training

Throughout the duration of your Apprenticeship you will be required to attend the 3aaa Technology Academy in Bristol for up to 12 weeks on a block release basis for structured training. The remainder of your training will be completed in the workplace with your Employer. You will work towards a Level 3 Advanced Apprenticeship for IT, Software, Web and Telecoms Professionals. The qualifications consist of:
• Edexcel Advanced Apprenticeship in IT, Software, Web and Telecoms
• L3 Diploma in ICT Professional Competence
• L3 Extended Diploma in ICT Systems and Principles
• Level 2 Functional Skills English, Maths, ICT (if applicable)
